Sullivan & Sullivan was founded in 1981 by Martin F. Sullivan as a General Agency for the sole purpose of writing motorcycle insurance exclusively in the state of California.

Martin F. Sullivan, at the time he started this business, had 19 years experience in the insurance business and 14 years riding motorcycles. He put together some of the first motorcycle insurance programs sold in California.

Sullivan & Sullivan has branched out into other areas of insurance but the main interest has been and continues to be motorcycle.
